Bottle from Tipples. Pours hazy golden orange with thin head. Smell is strong. Hops, citrus, wet dog, more tropical and grapefruit hopsf. Taste is hop forward with malt backbone, lots of tropical citrus and floral grapefruit flavors. Lingering pale malt aftertaste to go with the bitter than hangs around in the palate, gives it a bit of sweetness. Mouthfeel is easy going with nice light tingly carbonation. Overall a very solid IPA.

Green Flash has been available in my area for quite some time now but it took until a few days ago for me to buy any of their beers. I won't be making that mistake again.

Pours a hazy orange color with a reddish hue to it. Big, fluffy, two-finger white head. Excellent retention throughout the duration of the beer with medium-sized bubbles scattered along the surface. The aroma hits you like a ton of bricks, if bricks were made of hops. Citrusy, piney, and floral, to say the aroma is pungent would be an understatement. The bottle reads "extravagantly hopped" and it does not lie. The flavor is West Coast Pale Ale all the way. Think Sierra Nevada on steroids. Very bitter with a noticable dose of hop resin on the tongue. Chewy, bready malts keep the balance somewhat in check. Assertive yet drinkable, a worthy IPA for sure.

This is an aggressive IPA and I would say it rides the line between a regular and imperial IPA. Stays true to its roots and really does have that "west coast" flavor profile to it. Hopheads rejoice!

On tap at PJ's Bethlehem

A: Rich orange color, almost amber. Inch thick head when delivered. Delicious lacing throughout the sips.

S: Deep, dank hoppy goodness. Citrus, mild pine, slight metallic twinge.

M: Full in the mouth, you can definitely feel that you are drinking plenty of hops from the syrupy consistency.

T: A beautiful mirror of the smell. Citrus, pine, juicy hops, with slight malt flavor in an attempt to keep some balance.

O: So glad to taste this beer. Near perfect example of the style; employing that delicious hop resin hopheads like me can't resist. Definitely find this beer if you are a fan of West Coast IPAs, this one is no joke.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass

A: Really beautiful, hazy orange sunset, not quite clear. Big thick off white head, sticky lacing down the glass after each sip.

S: Smells just like the name. Big tropical fruit notes, mango, orange, and maybe even a slight banana note. I also get some pine and some slight alcohol notes.

T: Boom! Huge hop bitterness up front, followed by big citrus notes, almost like orange juice. Leaves a nice bitter aftertaste from the hoppiness.

M: Mouthfeel is perfect. Falls on the heavy side of medium bodied. Nice bubbly carbonation. Very smooth on the tongue.

O: This is one of my go to IPA's, and a classic example of the west coast style. Definitely satisfies a hop-heads craving for big citrus hops. This beer is a consistent presence in my beer fridge.

12 ounce bottle poured into a pint glass.

A: Pours a very hazy deep orange color with a 2 finger head and very nice lacing. Ideal!

S: Tons of fragrant citrus, pine, and floral hops along with a nice malt presence. After further review, I'm also getting some hints of vanilla.

T: Just like the smell, there are tons of various hop flavors balanced with some sweet caramel flavored malts. Hides the alcohol well. Mild metallic flavor in the aftertaste.

M: Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation.

O: This is a very well balanced and flavorful IPA. Easy to drink and quite refreshing. Maybe the best lacing I've seen on an IPA. The name says it all...this is a true West Coast IPA.
