12oz bottle poured into a large tulip

A- Pours a straw golden color slight haze. Big white fluffy head and disappears to a thin covering that laces the glass nicely.

S- Notes of mild pine and light citrus. Wasn't as pungent as I was expect. Still very nice and clean.

T- Pine and resin upfront light fruit on the finish. Crisp clean malt profile

M- light body strong carbonation, medium bitter hop finish.

0- great hop forward ipa. The drinkability makes it a will buy again for those hot summer days.

Poured into a *gasp* shaker pint glass.

Appearance- Large rocky/creamy off-white head. Lasting. Body is clear amber, a huge sediment left in the bottle.

Aroma- Big pine, grapefruit, citrus.

Flavor- More of the same, sweet & smooth. Big bitterness at the finish.

Mouthfeel- Medium body, healthy carbonation.

I was actually reviewing this last week & then discovered that the database was down...not the best review, I know. Just going from my notes here, but I've had this several times bottle & draft. Really almost a benchmark for the west coast style.

Really appreciate the brew.

Poured from the odd shaped 12 oz bottle into my snifter.

A very clear amber color. Neat. Excellent head over three fingers thick, that disappears into a strongly staying head of off white color. Super awesome lacing. Sticks like gum. Some bubbles seen rising up. Perfect and top notch.

Aroma: Some citrus and flowery aroma upfront. A nice malt backbone that is sweet, caramel and bread like. Very nice but not a lot of strength. Fades rather fats and i am assuming my nose is now overpowered by a lot of smells.

Taste: Excellent taste. Though not a lot of bitterness, but for a single IPA it does the trick. Earthy, slightly citrus, piney and bit oil like. Some bitterness upfront with a nice thick bready malt middle and good enough bitterness towards the end. I like the taste. Bitter finish.

Mouth feel: More medium bodied and slightly fuller. Moderate carbonation. Mild hop derived astringency. Good alcohol strength and no burning sensation what soever.

Strikingly dark orange, slightly hazy, sticky whipped cream head. Smells of pine, mellow caramel malt. Taste is phenomenal. Pine resin, grapefruit, floral and lightly minty hop flavors, nice weighty bitterness but all the same it's juicy due to a toffee-caramel malt backbone and so it dances on the palate. Medium heavy body, creamy and smooth. Finish is lightly bitter with interplay of grapefruit and mint notes. Complex presentation of hop flavors. Very, very good.

I first had this surprisingly at a local watering hole CJ & Ecks. Unassumingly I tried it expecting it to be a run of the mill IPA. The light amber color made it very 'yuengling lager' like in color. Nothing special concerning the carbontion, standard amount of white head.

The smell...the smell...amazing. Like walking through a forest of evergreens. Fresh. Piney. The taste was crisp, with some bite to it. IBUs are off the chart registering 95. I took a look at the website and it looks like four types of hops are used giving the entire spectrum of grapefruit, citrus, pine, and floral.

Green Flash Brewing Company doesn't have a large prescence on the East Coast but this beer does. Dare I say the Great American IPA?
