Poured from a 22-oz. bomber into a pint glass. About two fingers of head. Color was honey pale, fairly clear. Fluffy caramel lacing on the top. Wet, frothy, spongy film on the sides.

Potent citrus hop notes on the initial smell. Also got grapefruit hops, lemon hops, sweet sugary notes and floral notes. Really liked the smell.

Taste wasn’t as good as the smell, but decent nonetheless. Reminded me a bit of a citrus pale ale. Got the grapefruit hops and the sweet sugary floral taste. Also some pine. Some bitterness on the tongue after.

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish.

Pretty good beer overall. The smell definitely was the best part. I’d give it another try for sure.

Pours dark amber with a large head.
Nose shows lots of tropical fruit and floral notes, very expressive. Also some soft alcohol and bready malt.
Similar flavours, a mix of bready and cookie dough-like malt accompanied by piney hops. Unfortunately the finish include industrial/petrol notes.
Carbonation is suitably high.

Copper colored, off white head, nose showed a bit of malt through the pine. Good lace down the glass. Bitterness hangs on but it is bettter balanced and maybe a bit maltier than many west coast IPAs. Drinks much easier than the ABV would indicate. Very good beer.

had this gem on-tap at the Beer Trappe in Lexington, KY.

Poured into a nonic pint glass. The color is a copper-orange color with a nice white head. lots of lacing all the way down the glass.

The nose is hoppy with strong citrus notes. dominated by orange and grapefruit.

The taste is all hops with some citrus rind and with heavy pine component. bitter aftertaste lingers for a while.

Nice medium feel with a good amount of carbonation.

A real standard for IPA. everything this style embodies with citrus fruit and bitter bite. cold drink all day.
