22oz bomber poured into a pint glass
*No dating visible but bottling number located on bottom
A: Pours a slightly hazy orangish color - almost a light copper with dark golden hues. A nice 1.5 finger of lumpy off-white head formed that was gone in just a few minutes. Some intermittent lacing down the glass as well.
S: Very nice and clean aromas of bright citrus - lemon peel and orange rinds here. Some slight floral notes as well. I pick up a little bit of sweet caramel after the beer settles a bit but it is mostly all sweet citrusy hops baby.
T: BIG HOPS - Sweet candied citrus fruits, lemon zest, and sticky resinous pine flavors are very abundent here. Bitters are present throughout but not overbearing on the palate. A nice peppery sensation down the throat. Caramel sweet throughout but not heavy malt whatsoever. Slight warming affect.
M: Great combo of creamy and sticky mouthfeel that hangs on to the palate and is balanced well with a slight puckering from the bitterness.
D: I would say above average by DIPA standards. The ABV's are masked incredibly well here with only a slight warming towards the end as the big sweet hoppiness starts to fade.
A must try for those in search of a true hop bomb. Albeit a little one-note with the overall profile of flavors this brew is crafted incredibly well. A great hop delivery with really nice balance for such a big beer. Chuck Silva is the man and it's all about the hops!

Super malt bomb, but excellent strong IPA. Full of flavor. Super sweet, not much hop to this one. Like it overall.
Strong character, lasting flavor of malt. Some pine overall. No grapefruit, or pineapple, but slight tangerine. Overall malty IPA, which isn't my favorite, but good..
