The spill is a rich amber we shall call red with a huge and dense head that leaves substantial chunks clinging behind. It seems fairly actively carbonated and looks quite enticing indeed.
The nose is bready with a mild bouquet of hop aromatics emanating. Just a dash of dank skunk number one. It isn't overly flamboyant, but suggests a positive experience lingering in the taste test.
The taste is strikingly mild which makes this brew quite drinkable. The subdued nose hinted at the laid back contents and this one is utterly gulpable. A subtle bitterness compliments a wonderfully smooth malt base that is distinctively of the red persuasion. The earthy dankness of the hops is expressed perfectly against the grain. This is not beastly but it is sessionable and delicious in its delicate appeal.
The mouthfeel is light and makes this glass go down with ease.
Overall, this is a great drinking beer. There is nothing here that is abrasive. It is smooth and balanced and is likely one of the most enjoyable versions of this class that has ever graced me palate. All too often things are overdone, but this one seems just right. I will be visiting upon this again with haste.
