12 oz. in "Thirsty Monk" Pint
A= Dark rusty red which is quite opaque. Very thin head even w/ aggressive pour, although a nice lace holds the edge.
S= Nice malty floral nose, can get good whifs of dark carmel with a slight sweetness and toffee aroma.
T= Great roasted malt flavors with hints of roast coffee, toffee and carmel. Good resiny hop flavors balance very well with the great malt flavors. Bitterness is nice and has little lingering bitterness. Floral and herbal hop notes are also noticable.
MF= Not heavily carbonated, with a mild wieght and slight (very, very) dryness in the finish. Very thin coating of the tongue. Once you get close to finishing the pint a noticable numbness comes over the tongue.
D= Good Hoppy red ale. I could drink a few more of these.
