Deep scarlet color. Lazy layer of beige head. Looked nice at its inch-height peak.
Truly grapefruit with notes of orange and pine. Light toastiness. Almost a rye-like spiciness. Very rounded out. Not as hoppy as I remember.
Deliciously crisp. Notes of grapefruit, toasted grain, red apple skins, pine, bitter orange, and a light hint of tobacco. Full-on realized hoppy red/red IPA. This is what you want.
Mellow effervescence. Lets a simple medium body try to host the show. It gets a little dry, which causes some throat-lodging. It works.
Hop Head Red is a classic. Maybe it's the addition of its parts that doesn't do well enough to represent the whole. Mighty tasty. Respectfully so.
Serving type: on-tap
