12fl oz bottle poured into my pint glass
Appearance is a very dark amber color that looks like a brown/ruby mix. Huge three inch light brown frothy head with amazing lacing all around my glass. Great head retention that leaves a bit of foam sitting on top of the beer.
Aroma consist of citrus smells with the likes of ruby grapefruit, mango, pineapple, and tangerines. Pretty good citrus smells for a red ale I must say. Caramel and toffee aromas are present behind the hops along with a brown bread like smell also.
Taste upfront starts off with a mix of caramel that is the forefront flavor leading behind is a sweet citrus grapefruit taste with a little tangerine. Toffee and bread like malts show up in the end with a hint of hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a little less than average carbonation with a sweet tasting aftertaste.
Overall this was a pretty good beer and something I would recommend to try.
