I love hoppy red ales and this is dry hopped with Amarillo. A beer that combines Nugget and Amarillo hops has to be the greatest beer ever for me. Pours a reddish copper color with barely one finger of head that had good retention before eventually settling to a thick cap. Moderate amount of sticky lacing is left down the glass.

Hops are all I get in the aroma. I pick up citrus, grass, pine, and dankness. Lovely but I think some malt should be detectable.

Sharp bitterness is accompanied by flavors of citrus and grass. Dank as well. Tastes very fresh but no dates are on the bottle. A little malt is tasted but not nearly enough to carry the very bitter flavor. Love the hop flavor however.

Adequate body and carbonation. Nothing here really stands out but nothing to complain about either.

I may have liked this beer more before they jacked up the hop levels. Just a West Coast IPA that appears to be in red ale form. Sort of like the label claims. Overpriced and no bottle dates so I will not buy it again.

12 oz bottle poured into a mason jar

A: Wonderful dark red with a lasting 1cm head and a very nice lacing around the entire glass.

S: Creamy at first followed by abundant hop aromas: Grapefruit, pineapple, grass. Finishes with some nice malty biscuit background.

T: A nice creamy, sweet malt beginning that follows up with an explosion of hop flavors that mimic the aroma. A hint of caramel that lingers on the tastebuds with the bitterness.

M: Heavy for a red IPA, but is complemented very well by the carbonation and long lasting bitterness.

O: Had this beer many times, but first time review. This beer is exactly what I look for in a red IPA. Very delicious. Well balanced. Have yet to be let down by Green Flash.

Poured into a pint glass.

A- Poured a reddish hazy copper color, not see through with about a half inch head. nice lacing as well.

S - grassy and citruisy hops are dominant. roasted malts are present as well.

Taste - at first you get sweet malts and as you swallow you get hit with the hops you smelled in the nose. bitter grassy and piney finish.

M- Carbonation is perfect. pretty drinkable as well.

over all this was a good beer. not my style. loved their "west coast ipa".

12oz bottle ( like the shape of the bottle) from "Lifesource" Salem. $2.59 Darker amber in colour, great looking frothy, rocky inch high head. Crème coloured. Strange aroma, toffee, cream, figs, coffee, and some resin like hops. Tsste is really nice chewy yet balanced, toffee and fig come through strong. Low bitter ending. Hops go on for a while in this low profile. Nice thick and interesting mouth feel. Very nice beer that I had passed by many times.
