22oz poured into a tulip at 49F. My first beer from this brewery as they just started distribution in WA.
A - A pale amber, slightly cloudy with a nice pillowy head that lingers and moderate lacing.
S - Very nice - lots of yeast and malt but very nice fragrant, earthy yet citrusy hops. Very strong, and quite pleasing.
T - Leans towards the trippel IMHO, but it is quite nice. Fruity and yeasty - definitely quite sweet in the form of sugary syrup. Hops are a bit mild, and I was expecting a bit more citrus or even bitterness to balance the sweetness given the nose.
M - Medium to heavy body. Moderate carbonation. Generally quite smooth, just a hint of alcohol on the swallow. Coats the mouth, a bit filmy.
D - Strong and warming, this is a good sipper.
Overall, I would say they almost pulled off this marriage of styles, and I definitely appreciate the attempt and would drink again.
