Poured from a bottle into an oversized wine glass.
Look - medium brown in color, clear, with good carbonation and about a finger or so's worth of light khaki-colored foam that dissipates slowly.
Smell - very hoppy-smelling, with hints of fruity notes, maybe apricots?
Taste - right away it's a pretty intense bite from the hops, and then you taste them toward the middle, and then you feel the bite again in the finish. Pretty much tastes like hops steeped in water with no malts added, though I'm sure there were.
Mouthfeel - pretty nice balance actually. Not leaning more toward either the watery or the creamy sides.
Overall - this is a pretty intense brew! Not bad at all for the style, but maybe a bit much for my palate...although...hence the name.

Shared 12 fl. oz. bottle, kindly provided by abemorsten. ABV is 9.5%. Hazy orange colour, large white head. Strong aroma of orange marmalade and fruity and resinous American hops. The flavour is indeed a "palate wrecker" - that is why this beer was chosen as the last beer of the evening at our tasting. Extremely hoppy flavour, but still, in its own weird way, fairly "well balanced" - mainly because the malty sweetness seems just right. to stand up to the hoppiness. Grapefruit, resin / pine and spruce. Yes, it is a "typically American double IPA", and I’ve "seen it before"- but still: Oh so GOOD! Halleluja!

From old, undated notes. Poured from the bottle.
Bright orange color.
Small white head; no lacing.
Smells strongly of high grade marijuana.
Medium mouthfeel, bordering on thick.
Taste is of grapefruit and great ganja. Booze is present but not overpowering.
A delicious beer.

Good solid imperial IPA. Not up there with the best, but nice and solid. In tap at Industry Public House on Leah's b-day weekend in Pittsburgh! Good ending for lunch!
Add: 7/29/20. Trip home from Lancaster after Joy and Andy's wedding. Yes.... It's a palate wrecker!
