Almost crystal clear orange/copper liquid with a nice flat white head. Decent retention, and nice lacing.
Strong citrus hop aroma with some pine, and extremely juicy fruit. Pineapple and tangerine.
Some caramel malt and honey.
Extremely bright and hoppy, as expected. Pine and dry hops up front, malts in the middle, with pulpy ruby red grapefruit and resinous hops in the finish. Extremely juicy IPA. Some dry orange peel on the very back-end.
Good hop oil retention and resinous residue. A little on the syrupy side, but good carbonation sting; still feels lively. Medium feel; some citrus peel aftertaste; very little alcohol heat at all. Flavor lingers forever.
Despite the name, this is a very juicy, somewhat balanced IPA. I edited this review based on getting a stray musty/funky smell and flavor in my first bottle. The second bottle had none of that, although the malts were completely overpowered this time around.
I guess that costs Green Flash a point in consistency, but it's a good IPA.
