Pours a bright gold color with a big head, nice lacing down the sides of the glass too.

Aromas are resiny, with some notes of orange, hard candies, and a floral like quality.

Taste is bitter up front, with some sharp grapefruit notes. Beer then settles into subtle sweetness, sugar, hard candies, and some cracker notes. Finish is crisp, biting, and aggressive, if you don't like bitter citrus flavors, you won't care for this one.

Mouthfeel is nice and full, with crisp and snappy carbonation.

Overall, this is a nice big, bitter, and bold DIPA. It's name fits it, because it's pretty abrasive, but I dig it. Not super unbalanced, but certainly well tipped towards the hops/bitter side.

Shared 12 fl. oz. bottle, kindly provided by abemorsten. ABV is 9.5%. Hazy orange colour, large white head. Strong aroma of orange marmalade and fruity and resinous American hops. The flavour is indeed a "palate wrecker" - that is why this beer was chosen as the last beer of the evening at our tasting. Extremely hoppy flavour, but still, in its own weird way, fairly "well balanced" - mainly because the malty sweetness seems just right. to stand up to the hoppiness. Grapefruit, resin / pine and spruce. Yes, it is a "typically American double IPA", and I’ve "seen it before"- but still: Oh so GOOD! Halleluja!

From old, undated notes. Poured from the bottle.

Bright orange color.

Small white head; no lacing.

Smells strongly of high grade marijuana.

Medium mouthfeel, bordering on thick.

Taste is of grapefruit and great ganja. Booze is present but not overpowering.

A delicious beer.

Good solid imperial IPA. Not up there with the best, but nice and solid. In tap at Industry Public House on Leah's b-day weekend in Pittsburgh! Good ending for lunch!

Add: 7/29/20. Trip home from Lancaster after Joy and Andy's wedding. Yes.... It's a palate wrecker!
