12 oz bottle. Pours hazy copper orange with a medium pillowy white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is a little subdued - piney, resiny, dank hops with some sweet caramel malt and a little melon.
The flavor is a little caramel malt and fruit with a ton of resiny, piney, very bitter hops that linger in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a monster hop bomb. Tons of bitterness, but not a lot of good hop flavors.

Served in a 12 oz snifter at World of Beer in Columbus on 6/1/2013 (reviewed from notes). The beer is a nice golden amber color, and has a decent looking off-white head. The head was minimal due to the pour, but a good amount remained around the edges of the glass.
The nose is full of citrus, lots of orange and grapefruit, as well as nice pineapple. There are also hints of sweetness coming through in the form of caramel. The taste is very bitter up front, the citrus comes through again, and pretty much dominates the flavor. The sweetness is still present, and actually stands out quite well until the finish, which is also dominated by bitterness. The complexity here is wonderful, and each sip is great.
The mouthfeel is pretty typical of your DIPA, medium-to-thick body, with some stickiness left behind. Overall, this is a great brew. Even at 9.5%, it is refreshing, and fairly drinkable, and the flavor combinations are exceptional.

Pours glowing peach with a dense, pillowy white head that lasts forever. Enormous patches of laces stick to the glass on the way down. Hops fill the air when I pop the cap of the beer, huge citrus and orange hop flavors and some pine and cookie dough in the background. The taste is immensely hoppy with an immediate mouthcoating intense bitterness that pervades the whole glass. Grapefruit and lemon notes mix with a resinous pine bitterness. The timid malt profile is doughy and light. The mouthfeel is full bodied with a sparse carbonation - intense hop resin mouthcoating makes for a lot of numbing. The finish is infinitely long and bitter. Delicious. Alcohol isn't prominent for the strenghth and is only complimentary to the bitterness attack.
This is one of my favorite DIPAs ever. Super hoppy and also very multi-faceted. I will say it will probably put off anyone who isn't into hops, it's pretty intense. Still one of the best. Green Flash rocks.
