Burnished copper with ruddy highlights and an orangey head of oily foam that settles slowly, leaving sheets up the insides of the glass. Subtle aroma of coarse brown sugar, ruby grapefruit, tangerine and orange rind pith, plus some honey notes.

A kick of big fat hops right upfront, pithy and resiny. Tons of citrus and pine, all at once flavorful and sticky and bitter. Flavors of tangerine and grapefruit, pine and orange rind. Bitterness lingers and hangs in the sides of the cheeks. Subtle malt rides beneath acting as a balance to the hops, but rides far beneath. Mouthfeel is a tad slick, but warm and tingly from the ABV. Carbonation tickle helps the hops pop. Great beer, a hophead's delight for those that like 'em bitter.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a tulip glass. Can't see a bottling date but my local bottle shop just got it in this week so I'm assuming it's fresh enough.

A- Pours a nice bright orange amber with a high white head that sticks around. Great lacing and retention on the glass.

S- You can smell how bitter this thing is. Pretty much dominated by bitter hops and pine with some dried bitter citrus peel but the bitterness in the main thing here.

T- Big bitterness, can't get much else. Ca detect of flavors here some sweetness and bitter orange peel but the bitterness really overrides the complexity here which is a bit of a shame. There is a bit of a burnt rubber flavor on the aftertaste.

M- Nice medium to heavy mouthfeel but the bitterness really makes a heavy sipper.

O- This is the most bitter beer I've had next to super fresh Oracle. But with Oracle there was some more malt in there. I enjoyed most of drinking this beer but the aftertaste and stronger lingering bitterness was a bit too much for me. I would love to prank a few non-hop head beer buddies with a glass of this stuff.
