Bottle: solid brown 355ml brown bottle with embossed 'Green Flash', an acceptable non-macro label.
Appearance: pours a hazy, heavy golden orange with little visible carbonation. An off-white head jumps and drops quickly to a solid ring. Limited lacing.
Aroma: oh boy! Plenty of sweet caramels, and tons of pine and citrus hops. Enticing.
Taste: pine and floral hops take centre stage with some bread malt and an earthy resin.
Aftertaste: the earthen resin dominates the aftertaste - the flavours linger nicely.
Mouth feel: a pretty full, thick body with some sharp, fine carbonation. Quite a bite to it.
Overall: a pretty decent American IPA - different to the norm per the Green Flash style. Also per the Green Flash style however, the price is a bit too steep at AU$175 for a case of 24 x 355mL - it ain't that good. Not worth it. Perhaps for one every now and then at a tasting.
