Pint from a special firkin at DraughtHouse.
Deep golden with a very slight amber undertone. Hop specs and tiny bubbles in suspension. Slightly hazy with that strange firkin head. Looks like a high alcohol beer.
Smells of papaya, passionfruit, tangerine; forest vegetation glistening in the early morning's light with dew.
Less malt in the taste than aroma. Tangerine, citrus peel, a little bit of wild honey and honeydew, lotta grapefuit, and LONG lingering aftertaste of mostly pine. Lotsa green.
A little harsh and astringent at first but liked it more and more. I like the dry finish. I sensed hops long after I finished the pint.
This is a hop showcase and not a balanced beer. Not to be liked by everyone, but I'd love to have it again and again. Very fresh tasting and gave me the feeling I was in San Diego. I drank it rather quickly. Recommended; especially if you love fresh hops.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a tall pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a bright and hazy golden orange with a lot of rising bubbles. Big three finger white head with good retention. Leaves a good amount of lacing.
Smell: A fruity, earthy, and floral hop forward aroma with good hints of citrus fruit and grass. Upfront citrus hops with hints of grapefruit, orange peel, lemon, melon, pineapple, mango, and apricot. Also some fruit hints of apple and grapes. Floral and earthy hops with hints of grass and pine. Solid malt presence with hints of biscuit, grains, caramel, and yeast. A pretty solid aroma.
Taste: Like the smell, a fruity, floral, and earthy hop driven taste with good notes of citrus fruit and grass. Citrus hops with some upfront notes of grapefruit, orange, mango, lemon, melon, apricot, and pineapple. Subtle fruit notes of apple, grape, and pear. Good presence of floral and earthy hops with notes of damp grass and pine. Backing presence of sweet malt with notes of caramel, grains, biscuit, and yeast. A pretty solid Pale Ale taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy, crisp, and pretty smooth with a drying finish.
Overall: A very solid take on an American Pale Ale. Good mix of citrus and earthy hop flavors.

Dark gold almost amber color and nearly clear. Dome like head that lasts. Surprisingly little lace on the glass.
There's a pleasant sweet stone fruit presence to this beer. Apricot? Peach? It's not too strong. I also detect a bit of floral hop, like irises. It works.
Strong grapefruit (almost like sucking a hop pellet) flavor right up front. It's strongest in the swallow which creates a long bitter aftertaste. Rich bodied with a highly elevated carbonation level.
