On Cask at the Ginger Man. Pours a dark brownish amber with an inch of head. Some lacing. The aroma is sweet citrus hops. Some tropical fruits as well as hints of pine. The taste is sweet citrus hops mixed with bitter pine. Nice malt backbone with some Breadiness. Creamy mouthfeel, helped by the cask. Fair amount of bitterness and alcohol burn but neither are overpowering. Overall, solid find that I didn't expect to get to try, especially on cask.

Not retired, and presently on tap at Haven Gastropub in Orange.

Pours a thin head atop a deep, rich, amber body. Rising bubbles as I tilt, blood-red tinge throughout the body.

Aromas of floral hops and berries, primarily strawberries for the latter. Not highly intense; we'll see how it strengthens as it warms. (10 minutes later...) Yeah, the nose is slightly stronger, with little improvement in complexity.

Flavors are a hoppy bitter with some caramel sweetness on the finish and some of those lovely strawberries from the nose saturating the palate throughout. It's very complex and very intense. A lot going on here, reminding me a bit of tongue-buckler by Ballast Point, though not as palate-annihilating.

The mouthfeel is full, fairly thick, and slightly chewy. An excellent conduit for the flavors.

Overall, an excellent Imperial Amber. Like drinking a more piny-flavored IPA with lots of fruity berry flavors and some excellent caramel malts. Glad Green Flash brought it out of retirement. Keep it coming.
