22oz bottled late March 2012. Served at around 40F.
Pours cloudy yellow with a nice three-finger white head that leaves tons of clumpy lacing and holds a thick cap.
Aroma is banana, bubblegum, spices, some citrus notes but more Belgian-y and Wheat-y than IPA-y. Very good strength.
Flavor is better balanced between the IPA and Wheat/Belgian characteristics. Nice orange/lemon/grapefruit citrus moving toward some fruity esters, banana, spices, a bit of sweetness in the middle but finishes mostly dry with decent bitterness and a touch of alcohol.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, oily, good carbonation.
Very tasty, really enjoying this. Trends more toward the Wheat side than IPA, but the fact that it is nearly 5 months old doesn’t help in that regard, but this is the batch that Green Flash just sent to Georgia this week so it is the best we can get as far as freshness goes.
