This consists of some very weak properties but what I taste is complex and nice. The hop character is for the most part dominant. Very lemony with tinges of grapefruit, rind oils, pine sap, resin, floral tones and a small touch of herb. The backdrop is a little woodsy, cedar I'd guess, with a very light malt. This stands as a very good Pale Ale but it simply doesn't deliver enough assertive flavor and has too watery a tone.

Pours a clear golden color with a soapy white head that leaves chunks of lacing.

Smells of citrus and pine hops with a bit of cedar.

Tastes of the cedar, pine hops, and a solid malt base. Cedar notes lead off with some slight spiciness and plenty of woodiness. This gives way to some pine and citrus hops with moderate bitterness. Malts add in with some caramel and bread. Finishes with a lingering, piny bitterness.

Mouthfeel is medium with a slightly cirps amount of carboation.

Overall, this is pretty good, but I feel like a touch more malt is needed.

On tap at BC's Pizza and Beer

A: Pours deep golden amber with a creamy off white head that settles and laces very well, the best I've seen in a while actually.

S: Citrus hops, grapefruit and tangerine stand out, with a little light malt.

T: This is a grapefruit bomb up front, also a bit of tangerine, some pine, cedar comes out midway, and finishes with some light malt.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: Interesting experiment that worked out fairly well.
