12oz bottle served in a tulip glass.
A: Hazy light orange / copper with strong carbonation and a thin, sticky head.
S: A strong pop of hops as soon as the cap is removed. These hops are effervescent and give off strong citrus characters like grapefruit, pineapple, kiwi, and followed by some sulfur and dankness as well.
T: Those New Zealand hops shine through upfront as grapefruit is most noticeable at first, followed by some smoke and pine. There’s an underbelly of malty biscuits that help sweeten up the finish.
M: An explosion of flavors that really comes to life because of the carbonation. The sticky resin in the aftertaste is not overpowering nor overdrying.
O: Overall, this is a great beer, although not too different from some many single or double IPAs in my opinion. The most noticeable differences were in the aroma, which was like a genie in the bottle begging to be let out, and the mouthfeel, which did not have an overdrying effect. A strong effort by Green Flash, but not a better product then their West Coast or Palate Wrecker.
