Green Flash West Coast IPA was my first true craft beer love, especially with how hard it was to find in Chicago! I first had it while visiting my brother in San Diego during his Coast Guard days. When I had a chance to try the Green Bullet, I was definitely excited. I still prefer the West Coast but this was a great beer.
The appearance is an unfiltered golden beer with just a little head. The smell was my least favorite because I enjoy floral IPAs and this has pine and honey notes. The taste was great though, again with pine, honey and strong New Zealand Pacific Gem and Green Bullet hops! The mouth feel is better than most imperial IPAs being that this was less thick and smoother.
For the extra money, I would prefer to buy the regular West Coast but I am sentimental. Green Bullet is a an above average Imperial IPA but not one of the best.

Lightly colored, a pale fawn hue. Filtered with such purity that, were you to fill the ocean with this stuff, you’d probably be able to see clear to the bottom. Trips to the beach would also be a lot more interesting.
A rich, sticky aroma, so pungent it’s almost vinegary. Fresh-cut grass, orange blossom and black pepper quickly give way to fruitier notes like passion fruit.
flavor is deceptively sweet. Malt provides a subtle caramel note and simple syrup-style sugars, but most of the saccharine flavors seem to come from the hops, as pine and mint are replaced with tangerine, pineapple and Juicyfruit gum. Very pungent -- you can feel the heaviness of the alcohol and the hop oils.
Medium-bodied, a little heavy with alcohol. You can feel the hop oils on the tongue. mild carbonation.
Too tasty and drinkable for its own good.
