Tried on tap for the first time tonight. Burnt orange color, slightly hazy, quickly dissipating head. Scent of apricot and a little floral. Nice bitterness, dry, not lingering, and despite a few reviews stating otherwise, it does Not taste of grapefruit to me. I stress this point for the benefit of the other hop heads like me who don't like that flavor.

Slightly hazy light amber and a thin, tan head with poor retention. Strong floral, earthy hop aroma. Biting bitterness but metered by the malt and caramel sweetness. Light herbal, pine, and citrus peek through the bitterness. Smooth, bittering and caramel coating lingering in the mouth.

Calling this a "Triple IPA" rubs me the wrong way. It's certainly an all bitterness IPA because flavor is fleeting. The mouthfeel however is superb and worth a try. Otherwise, it's certainly a hop head's dream.

Not the best Triple IPA but darn good. Worth the money if it's around, definitely if they have it draft. Very smooth for a triple, people who couldn't handle other triples might be able to take this one on. Has a nice twist to the taste and it also packs a heavy punch. Would recommend these.

Appeparance - good in color. Smell - grassy and hoppy. Taste - slight citrus. Grass. Hops. Not bitter. Overall - solid. Not and everyday thing though.

From the bottle, it pours amber with a moderate head, slowly dissipating. Definite scent of hops in the nose. The hop flavor slams you on the tongue when you taste it, followed by the whallop of the alcohol. Not for the faint of heart.

On tap at the Pig + Fish in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Pours a hazy amber with a thin off-white head. Initial impression is grapefruit, followed by an earthy assortment, with a dry, slightly bitter finish. Moderate carbonation, medium body, slightly sticky mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden. OK but not one of my favorites. I have yet to sample a Lagunitas offering that I would revisit.

Mostly orange appearance, smallish white head on it, looks good. Hops were poppin' but not pungent. Plenty of tropical fruit aroma for sure.

Taste was hoppy, not heavy malt, avoided 'balance' thankfully. Mouthfeel was great, hid the alcohol, stayed light and dry despite 10% abv territory. Cool new hops, 12 oz bottles are were its at.

Really solid beer. Hazy orange, little head. Smell tells you what to expect, and the taste delivers. Lots of piney hops balanced with a heavy hit of citrus. Enough of a malt backbone to stand up to the intense hop flavor. Mouthfeel is thick, just short of chewy.

Another solid beer in the IPA family from Green Flash.

Had this on tap (awesomeness) at a local establishment on a relaxing Saturday happy hour. Beautiful cloudy color with not much head. Flavor and feel were exceptional for a TriPA loving the pine opening to the malt. If you get a chance try it.

Poured from a bomber into a snifter, the beer is a bright, vibrant, deep copper-orange coloring, opaque, with a filmy, clingy, light, off-white head. Aromas of berries, grapefruit, passion fruit, grassy highlights, dank pine pitch, subtle cotton candy, and subtle basil and cilantro spice highlights. Flavors are very spiced and green forward, heavy on pepper, basil, dried grass, and cedar. All of this spice rests heavily on top of a fruity sweet blend of berries, lemon zest, grapefruit, mango, apricot, and passion fruit. The heavy spicing and dry, crisp body lend to an almost astringent transition into the crisp, dry finish. The aftertaste is a bit out of balance, with the spices and vegetal characteristics overpowering. Interesting brew, with an interesting blending of new hops.

For a 10% abv, this stuck to my glass nicely. Great lacing all around. Green flash is becoming a go to for my IPA's, DIPA's and now, triple IPA's. And it's cheaper than Ballast Point.

Look: Nice orange-golden color with a slight white foam head.

Aroma: A very pleasant grapefruit aroma, not overwhelming for a triple.

Taste: Some grapefruit and a touch of onion on the finish, pine and woody come through as well.

Feel: A bitter, earthy finish. Extremely drinkable for a triple IPA, nice one.

Looks typical for an IPA, slightly hazy orange with a decent beige head and gentle lacing.

Smell is faint but what's there is of grapefruit, which speaking of,

Taste is a big grapefruit wallop with a touch of onion. Big taste here, no doubts.

Nice little surprise from Green Flash. Pretty sure I'll get more!

Always been a huge green flash fan. Unfortunately this is not one of my favorite beers by them. This beer looks like it would be fantastic, coppery tan with a nice head and lacing. The feel is fantastic as well. It drinks good, and is a bit chewy. Unfortunately this is one of those IPA's that is extremely oniony to me. Which is a characteristic I do not prefer. If it wasn't for this single aspect I would have rated this beer higher.

Poured from a bottle into a snifter.

L: Pours a deep amber color, mostly clear with tall off-white head. Lovely lacing.

S: Citrus fruits and hops. Mango and oranges... a bit floral.

T/F: Nice malt backbone followed by a big hop spanking. Great citrus notes and mango... grapefruit and evergreen trees. Good carbonation and a bit zesty. Warming from the high ABV and quite tasty.

O: Delicious triple IPA from Green Flash.... which is still an under-appreciated brewer here on the East coast. Loved it and can't wait for my next.

Pours a light Amber color. Has a deep pine and resin aroma. Flavor is really piny and resin with some citrus peel notes as well. Leaves a heavy pine aftertaste. A little bitterness at the finish. Very nice overall

Quite light color--golden but quite clear.

Aroma of pungent earthy (decaying) citrus. This seems weird but it's my attempt at describing what some describe as cat pee. It smells amazing nonetheless.

Flavor is slightly sweet malts with a smash of hops. Minimal bitterness compared to GF's West Coast IPA.

Bottle poured into a Green Flash Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours golden orange amber with a frothy light beige head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.

S: Citrus and pine, sweet tropical fruit and caramel malt, a bit herbal, and a little spice.

T: Resinous pine, citrus, grapefruit pith, lemon, lime, a bit spicy, tropical fruit, pineapple, mango, maybe papaya, a little herbal, and some caramel malt sweetness. A little alcohol can come out as it warms.

M: A bit towards the fuller end of medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: This triple IPA brings the goods with the hops. It'll kick you in the tongue, but won't necessarily blow you away.

Green Flash Brewing Company, San Diego, California.
Green Flash Green Bullet Triple India Pale Ale, New Zealand Dry Hop, Alc. by Vol. 10.1%. Besides all the legal mumbo-jumbo, refreshingly free of gobbledygook.

Hazy amber, slim white head.

Aroma: Fresh and vibrant hop nose, clean citrus and tropical fruit notes. Spins out wildly hoppy and delightful.

Taste: Intensely and refreshingly bitter hop bite right at the top. Medium-bodied, moderate malt base, leaving plenty of space on the stage for hops to shine. Citrus notes are increasingly bitter, bright, clean and tasty. Pungent is another word to use on this one, extra-zesty is another, and strong is useful, as well.

There's a very unique flavor in this Green Bullet, and I've used all the descriptors I have on hand. This something I can't pin down about it. I said "clear" and I want to add "crystal"…what else works? Some of the words I want to bring up might not make sense…"scintillating?" Does that work? "Sizzling?" What is it that is so unique to this hop and this big bomb of a triple IPA, such as it is?

I may not know what it is, but I know that it works.

L- Vivid filtered copper body, frothy white head with large bubbles, mild retention.
S- Citrus and hops. Grapefruit, orange rind, lime, hops.
T- Hops, grapefruit, citrus, bready malts, booze.
F- Medium, warm. Leaves a resinous bitter aftertaste.
O- Nice, very well balanced hops and malts. Hops sting the tongue but are not overly bitter. Feels warm because of the booze.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear bright golden orange, head fades quickly. Sweet bready aroma. Taste follows with mostly light bready cracker sweetness up front with strong bitter grassy floral hops. Very bitter ending and super dry. Boozy in the finish. Extreme flavors in this one, sweetness and a powerful hop punch.

Poured into a Cuvee tulip; best by date on bottle of 02/05/16.
Poured a deep golden orange hue with a finger and 1/2 worth of head, full of tiny bubbles. Tons of lacing.
Getting more malt than hops in the aroma, slightly hay like smell. Not getting much else, not sure why...?
Grassy hops up front and through to a bitter finish with a strong alcohol presence at the end.
Lingering bitterness with a nice dry malty sweetness that evens it out. Alcohol is hidden well enough.
Overall, a decent beer that didn't quite live up to my expectations; not to say it's 's a bad beer, because it's not. I was just expecting something else and got a grassy hop bomb. Plenty of alcohol in this bottle to warm you up. Quite a bit of biscuit like malt on the end. Was definitely worth the try though.

Appearance – This is a thick, cloudy orange in color with a gorgeous white head. It is very thick.

Smell – The aromatics aren’t huge here and the malt is lazy. It has a nice aroma but muted for a beer that bore a sense of sensationalism in its name.

Taste – The self-made Triple IPA moniker is proved out at the taste. This is a monster on the tongue. You get that classic mix of huge resin and coy but persistent sweetness at the finish.

Mouthfeel – Though not full-bodied this will leave your mouth bone dry. I truly enjoyed the drying here as this has got to be pushing 100 IBUs.

Drinkability – I don’t know that I’d call it a unique style. This is just a really stiff and sophisticated DIPA. I really enjoyed it though and that 10% is completely unnoticeable until you try standing up.
