Ill be honest, hoppy beers have never been my thing. That being said, even though IPAs arent my go-to, I can still tell the difference between a well-crafted hoppy beer and a so-so beer that just had a bunch of hops tossed into it. Green Flash has some good beers, no doubt about it...but they also have a few borderline crappy beers that are just hopped up. None of that really matters though, as this place is almost always busy and there is never any shortage of local hopheads who will willingly slap down $30 to get IPA'd up after work. To each his own.
Not my favorite spot in SD but if you're way into IPAs they've got you covered. On any given day, they'll have about 25 beers on tap and Id venture to guess that 20 of them are hoppy.

Best place to sample all of Green Flash beers at an affordable price
The brewery visit is interesting but not different that any other brewery visit
The burgers from the food truck in the "garden" is worth to try

It's nice to know that Green Flash owns Alpine. A two in one special Visit. Nice spot with a great selection. Decent vibe and mixed crowd. Would definitely come back and visit.

Been here 3 times. Two times during normal operation and for Treasure Chest 2015. Treasure Chest was a well run event with a good variety of beers and food to pair with them. Each staff member that I have encountered were very pleasant.

Hit there midweek in the afternoon. Not too crowded but also no place to sit in a large open room at one end of the brewery. Bar service was good and very informative about the 28 beers they had on tap at the time including some from Alpine.
Great place to check out a large selection of their beers but nothing special.

I am starting to get really tired of tap rooms without anywhere to sit. My mind flashes back to that movie with Joe Namath eating food, as he pretends to shop, as he walks through some second rate grocery store. Having to stand to enjoy a beer probably lessen the quality of beer but who really knows, just thinking out loud.

What a great place for a beer. Really nice vibe and a great selection of beers, including the newly acquired Alpine Brewery. I went for the tour, $5 with 4 tastings. We had West Coast IPA, Hop Red, Le Freak and the Stout. The guide was informative and have lots of history with basic breeding information. There is a food truck parked at the door, unfortunately I did not partake.
