I stopped by after dinner at Dublin Square last night. Tipsy Crow is located in the Gaslamp District with bunch of other bars and restaurants. I really enjoyed by time here. The have a decent sized bar with some tables and booths, along with some games.
The night I was here, they had live music, really cool music.
The tap list was not extensive, but I found a beer I haven't tried before Cali Creamin' which was actually a nice cream ale.
It's definitely a location I'd be happy to revisit when I'm in the area.

In San Diego for a conference, on my last day I was out shopping for family gifts. Didn't last long, but luckily stumbled upon the Tipsy Crow. About 4 p.m., so not too many people. I sat at the bar and reviewed the beer menu. Interesting that they organize the beer menu by how it is served: cans, bottles, bombers, etc. Not sure I've seen that before.
Bartender was attentive and quite helpful. Since I was not done with my shopping, she modeled some of their shirts, which I bought as a gift. So, great place to multitask gift shopping and beer drinking!
Nice beer selection. Not the largest I've seen, but definitely some nice offerings and enough for me too choose from. I had a Stone & Oskar Blues. Very nice.
Several TV's going and one screen that seemed to have beer selections [or something like that, can't quite recall].
Overall, a very nice place to stop and have a beer.

We hit this place for our last stop after Hamilton's Tavern. In a city of great beer bars, Tipsy Crow is not near the top but is a perfectly decent place to stop in for a pint if you are in the area.
One long bar downstairs, with another room upstairs that was closed on our mid-week visit. A dozen or so taps, almost all craft, largely local. Nothing you won't see lots of other places but perfectly nice. They had a firkin of Ballast Point Victory at Sea that night as part of SDBW. Nice surprise.
Service was particularly nice. Our friend had overindulged through the day. The bartender very kindly flagged him and pumped water into him as much as she could. She was also quite competent otherwise.

This was my second stop on the late afternoon run of my San Diego pub crawl. This place is located right in the middle of the action in the Gas Lamp; tourist central.
The atmosphere was probably one of the best I experienced in San Diego. There was a massive, long bar that skirted the left side of the establishment and tables were scattered about behind the bar stools. There was a bar that faced the street and was open-aired in that area. That was where I chose to sit and I feel that was the prime spot of the establishment.
The beer selection was local heavy but was very nice indeed. I think there were about 30 drafts or so and they had a big chalkboard indicating price, style, size of the beer: All of that information is always welcome and seldom provided.
I really enjoyed this place. Plenty of big screen tv's with a back room that was equally impressive with pool tables, vidya games, and dart boards. I met a local Maori tribesman here and he ended up taking me all over town. For that I am grateful and really made my trip to San Diego worthwhile.
