Excellent village local - off the beaten track in the Surrey/Berks borders.
7 hand pulled cask ale lines, with at least 5, if not the full 6 or 7 always available.
Ever presents include ... Theakston Old Peculier (a rare find in these parts!), Ringwood 49'er, Sharp's Doom Bar and Fullers London Pride.
In addition to these, regular guest ales often inlcude 3 from the following breweries:- Sharp's seasonal beers (have witnessed the full range over the last year), Palmers, Windsor & Eton, Hogsback and most recently Dark Star beers (Partridge on my last visit)
The pub itself is of a late victorian era build (possibly early Edwardian) has 2 bars and a separate restaurant (extension).
The food is excellent ranging from traditional bar meals to roasted pheasant and Moroccan lamb, and can be ordered in any part of the pub or restaurant.
They feature a curry night on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month which I highly recommend!
At the rear of the pub is a large beer garden and childrens play area.
The pub is dog friendly both inside and out (2 or 3 bowls for doggy refreshment - water obviously !)
Public transport is limited to Windlesham (500 bus from Staines/Egham/Sunningdale or Camberley), but it is only £7/8 in a taxi from Sunningdale with direct trains to Central London every 30 minutes (50 minute journey time).
