This beer is not retired. It was on tap February 2011.

Pours black with a tan head. Nose is all black chocolate and black coffee/espresso/roasted grains. Flavor profile is as expected with black chocolate tones; espresso coffee tones with a bitter back palate. Finish is espresso bitter. This is a simple stout but well done.

Enjoyed on-tap at the Mudshark brew-pub several times over my week-long stay in Lake Havasu City for Spring Break.

Pours crude oil black with a cm or so of dark coffee brown head and decent lacing. Nose just blew me away for an Irish dry stout -- notes of vanilla, oaked bourbon, toffee, chocolate and roasted espresso envelop the senses. Taste doesn't disappoint either with rich, creamy milk chocolate, cocoa powder, roasted espresso and more of that surprising, yet subtle bourbon-barrel/vanilla character. Mouthfeel is creamy, yet easy to put back - certainly more rich than your typical nitro-served Irish dry however. Wasn't expecting much from an Arizona brewpub Irish Dry and was more than pleasantly surprised. At $3 a pint I threw more than a few back on St. Patty's. A real gem here.
