Can it and go. 12 ounce can, on to the beer:

It's a bronzed orange color and topped with a frothy head. Good head retention sticks around on top. The hop aroma may smell a little faded, though it still has appeal. With grapefruit peel, a bittersweet citrus, and a touch of caramel, there's appeal to the aroma. Taste....starts off with bitter orange, then comes the grapefruit. The grapefruit gains some sweetness. In comes a vague citrus, which continues the fun in this IPA. It's medium bodied, not too bitter, and a pleasing beer to consume. I presume it's better than 98% of the beer consumed at Lake Havasu during Spring Break.

Pours with minimal head & lacing, amber to golden color range, with fairly good clarity. Nose has some sweet citrusy notes, a few musty herbal components, but also a hint of wet cardboard. Uh oh. Palate has a noticeable sour to soapy sort of flavor right away which leads me to think this is yet another Arizona beer/brewery with problems (Phoenix Ale Brewing comes to mind too as a major offender). Light candied malt is present with some grapefruity zinging hops that take over. Finish is bitter in a good way, but also slick with soap. Thumbs down.

Poured from a 12 oz. brown bottle with no date code into a pint glass and get 1/2 fingers of head.

A: Pours a copper color with 1/2 fingers of head that dissipates quickly to leave a soapy covering on the top of my glass. There is some lacing present.

S: Smells like lemon and cantaloupe. Interesting.

T: Tastes of lemon and soap. Terrible. Just an aftertaste of soap. I just washed this glass by hand and rinsed it with water before pouring the beer. The soap taste is the beer.

M: Medium bodied and carbonated.

O: I won't buy this again and I wouldn't even have it if offered. Pass this one by! This is the only beer that I've poured down the drain since I started experiencing craft beers.

Picked up a single at Total Wine in late April for $1.39. TW received in late February - no visible canning date.

Beer poured a golden orange with a nice head on the initial pour.

Nose has a lemony quality to it as it warms up.

Taste is pretty well balanced between the malts and hops. Flavor is very strong lemon bitterness in the end.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and pretty smooth.

Overall this beer is not bad, taste is a bit lemony for my palate.
