A double IPA brewed with green chilies. Enjoyed at World of Beer.
Perfectly clear, pale tarnished gold. Not much head, just a thin ring of off-white.
Whoa. A lot of chile in the aroma, oven-roasted and green. Just below is a definite IPA, a little grassy, a bit of sweet honey. Maybe some crackers. Mostly peppers, though.
Same deal in flavor. Big pepper bite, with peppery heat flaming the throat. Before the swallow, you can find grassy hops. The swallow opens up the pepper sweetness. Mild IPA flavor, but the chilies make it intense.
Light body, watery. Very spicy on the tongue. Almost-not-there carbonation. Spice builds with every sip.
It'd be hard to drink much of this. Very flavorful, very spicy.
Serving type: on-tap
