In spite of the high IBU level this is a deliciously drinkable Imperial IPA with plenty of hop aroma and flavor. Five different hops are used to give this a fruity finish with hints of Passion Fruit, Mango, Peach, and Apricot.

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. A foamy lattice of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and slight tropical fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and grapefruit juice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and sticky mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid citrus forward hop aspects all around.

Pours a hazy orangey amber with a big, long-lasting foam in the tall Maredsous goblet. Flowery honeysuckle aroma with the piney hops.
Interesting perfumey taste, like a triple imperial Kolslch. Hugely malty and quite sweet. Hot and woddy with a cedar taste. Some scorched grain and a boozy apricot brandy note. Moderately bitter.
An intriguing and powerful sipping beer with a massive dose of hops. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bottlecraft - North Park. Bold label is appealing with the glowing Mayan pyramid where the serpent appears at the Equinox.
