Either I hit this place on the right night or nobody that goes here tells anyone(afraid that they'll spoil the place)but tonight it was a very fun place to have and try a few new good beers. Noisy, but not overly so, cosy but not uncomfortably so, and music with a couple of guys butchering classics; I had a great time. The Mexican food truck was right on spot and fit right in, loved it. What a good Wednesday.

We were really looking forward to visiting this brewery to check on their use of Mexican ingredients and other interesting takes on beers styles.
Located in an industrial park very near Indian Joes and Latitude 33 . Walking in you notice several tables and a large bar. The services was very good.
The beers we tried were the Imperial Red, the Barrel Aged Imperial Rd, the Barrel Aged Barley Wine, and Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.
To be honest nothing really stood out. The Imperial Red needed time to clear up and age a little, and the Imperial Stout was too sweet and was difficult to finish even the sample.
I would only stop by if you were in the area otherwise stay at Latitude 33 or Iron Fist, etc.

One of the last stops I made this past weekend was to Aztec since I was in the area. The tasting room is inside the warehouse where the beer is made. There is a small bar area but I don’t think I saw any place to sit or anything. When I walked in the place was dead so I was able to get great service and chat with who I believe is the owner of the brewery. They had 8 beers on tap which I believe was pretty much their full line up. Quality was very good with all the pours. I was able to try some great stuff like a RIS brewed with cinnamon sticks and a barrel aged barleywine. Prices were reasonable for the pints and tasters. You can tell this is a small up and coming brewery that is pretty low key right now but I can see them going places in the SD beer scene.
