500ml bottle purchased from the International Beer Shop and split between three into 7oz glasses.
Appearance is light golden, perfectly clear (to the point where it is nearly possible to read writing through the glass), pouring with a small white head of foam that disappears pretty quickly.
Aroma is of marmalade, bread and slightly herbal with a hint of bubblegum with agitation.
The taste is of bready malt, hop forward in an english way delivering marmalade flavour consistently.
The mouthfeel is ok, the body if anything a touch big for a self-proclaimed (as per the bottle lable) golden ale, but as a bitter it works quite well. The finish initially feels abrupt, but then afterwards the mouth cloys a little.
Overall a fair attempt at a golden ale or bitter, but perhaps not as sessionable as you would expect or seek from it.

Cask at Coeur de Lion, Bath.
Dark gold. Small white head thins to foamy wisps and some lace.
Aroma mineral and French plums.
Taste. Light but bright and zesty. Leans to bitter side. Lightly juicy. Lean maltiness. Some grapefruit, some fresh hot white rice and biscuit in the finish.

Pale gold with a thin finger of white foam.
Toasted breadstick nose.
Tart grain and golden syrup then grassy hops.
Slight golden sultana finish and vaguely spicy linger.
Crisp, light, lively.
Another lagery blonde. Slightly cloying, yet too fizzy. How this lines up as a bitter I'm not sure.
Nothing special.

500ml bottle, best before Dec 2012: poured into a UK pint sleeve on 16 July 2012.
Mid-golden body, clear and clean: good white blanket of foaming bubbles on top.
More hops than malts: the nose and taste majoring on semi-citrus hop flavours.
Bitter-sweet really in the mouth with the bitterness winning in every sip especially towards the end as the mouth dries.
Did it ring my bell? Yes, one of the better hoppy brews out there (IMHO).

Sampled at several locations in Bath. Appearance is golden amber in color, smallish head - to be expected with the style and serving method, I think. Aroma is light, typical bitter aroma. The lack of variety in English beers is becoming more and more frustrating, the longer I live here. Bitterness is enough to stand up to malts, but doesn't take the fore. Little hop flavor or aroma to speak of - a hint of citrus, perhaps. Light-medium in body, smooth. Drinkability is good.

Tasted at The Crystal Palace in Bath, England on 9/14/05. My first beer after a 6,000+ mile, 16 hour car-bus-plane-bus-cab-walk trip from home to England on vacation. That all by itself made this a really good beer!
Pours a very clear copper with minimal head. The nose is very subtle, weak. In its defense, I was in a somewhat smoky area at the time, and it may have affected the aroma. But it made up for it in flavor. Started off with a decent hop bitterness that then mellowed into a very nice dark bread maltiness. But even so, nicely hopped. Ends up with really good balance that makes for wanting another. But, being new in town, I had to pace myself! Overall, an enjoyable beer.

Sampled on gravity dispense at FAB Fest, Miami Beach, earlier this month (notes taken).
Golden amber, little head due to the serving method. Nice, hoppy aroma. Very assertively hoppy for a beer of this style; dry, bitter all the way. Some citrus flavour too, and the hops are kept in check to an extent towards the end. Dry, lingering, bitter finish. Probably too astringent for some, but fine for me.
Just one step down from a true IPA, in my opinion.
