not up to the level of some of the other telluride brews i dont think, but its well made. honey colored with a redder tint, and a bold white head with fine lacing as it sips. a nose of west coast hops, and a curious minerality that makes it rather heavy. more sweet than bitter on the hop nose, but there is enough bitterness in the flavor for me. tropical fruits, orange melon, zesty pine, and lots of dense toffee grain. i am full after one, but i can get through about three before i am maxed out. a nice compliment to a burger or a pizza or some other quick and drity blue collar food, but not distinct from all the other really solid big india pale ales on the colorado market, i like the funky fish edition best, done with belgian yeast. it cleans up the residual sugar a little better and gives it a vibrant carbonation. this one is tasty but a little much for me.

Draft poured amber with frothy bubbling white foam. Great aroma of citrus and pine. Taste is too piney and herbal. Overly bitter. Also tastes of orange citrus and sweet malt. The feel and carbonation level seem off. Overall it’s ok.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance - The beer is served a golden amber color with a one finger white head. The head fades fast to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma is light overall, but does have some aromas of tropical fruit and doughy bread. Along with these aromas are some light herbal and orange smells.
Taste - The taste begins with sweet tropical fruits of pineapple, mango, and tangerine with a good showing of grapefruit hop. As taste moves forward more sweetness of tangerine and light fruits of peach and apricot come to the tongue. A little bit of herb and pine join the grapefruit at the end to leave a nice fruity and doughy taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is thick and creamy with a lower carbonation level. For the mix of doughy, tropical fruit and hop the feel is quite nice and makes for a rather slow but easy sipper.
Overall - This was a rather delicious and thick IPA overall and one to try if you get the chance.

I bought a can of this at a Denver Airport kiosk. It poured a hazy orangish with no head and no lace. The scent had some bitter hop that leaned toward pine. The taste was common with most DIPA...sweet malt against bitterness. There is nothing out of the ordinary here. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's average at best.
