Poured from can into tulip forms a soft unevenly topped off white 1F head. This settles quickly to a thin floater with loose lace following it down. Color is a transparent light gold with nice effervescence.
On the nose I get some light citrus and floral notes.
Tasting brings forth a light herbal tinged malt kinda reminding me of a pilsner a bit with subtle bitter hop notes. It comes off as a mild pilsner type but the hops grow stronger with each taste and get a bit metallic.
Mouthfeel is initially light medium but the malt gets a bit thicker feeling and the finish more bitter as you go on. Some residual thickness due to some hop astringency.
Overall a thinner feeling IPA example with rather bitter hop. I hoped for more full malt fullness and more flavor notes from the hops.

Russell Kelly pours a golden yellow with a big white fluffy head that sticks around for a while. Good looking beer. The smell is subdued, but the taste is not ,,, it's a big mouthful of fruity flavors, less citrus than many IPAs, but an overall fruit blend effect. It's a bit bitter at the end, which is good, but compared to many conventional IPAs it's on the mild end of the bitterness scale. The mouthfeel is foamy and smooth. Overall, this is one of the better IPAs I've had in a while. Well worth looking for.
