A: Golden, light orange color. Thin one finger head that disappears pretty quickly. Carbonation is minimal.

S: Predominantly lemon and orange as well as zest, and grassy aromas. A little black pepper from the rye.

T: Lemon citrus and some grapefruit, then a sweet malt backbone. Finishes with some peppery spice, tartness like from a lemon or orange peel and grass.

M: Overall light in body, fairly creamy, and some mild bitterness.

O: A refreshing beer, great for a post-hike cool down. Earthiness, spice, and lighter body paris great with Indian food! (561 characters)

From BeerAdvocate Magazine #81 (Oct 2013):

“Brewed with a generous amount of German Rye malt and an abundance of American hops” (Magnum, Cascade, Chinook, CTZ and Citra), Bridal Veil is one hell of an amped-up Pale Ale that’s packed with aggressively complex flavors. Hop- and rye-heads should seek out this beer for some palate-ripping enjoyment.

12 oz can. Pours slightly hazy straw yellow with a smallish white head that quickly goes to a thin film that leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet bready malts and spicy rye with some dank hops.

The flavor is a little sweet bready malt with rye followed by a big, slightly harsh, resiny bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, a very nice rye pale, better than most rye hoppy beers I've had. Tons of bitterness that's slightly harsh. (479 characters)

A hearty light auburn and dark gold appearance, looks more substantial in terms of a malt bill than most pale ales. Soft off white head, 3/4" deep.

Aroma was lacking in the hop quality, a little rye effervesence occurred.

Taste was muted, it was a decent beer, but it didn't have any oomph. Some bitterness, but little in the way of flavor development beyond that. A little bit of that weird rye and barley flavor. Some minimal woodsiness envelopes the palate as the beer gets warmer. Not pulling anything in terms of citrus or pine out of the flavors. English malt flavors, this is actually coming off very English absent the rye addition. Rye just seems to overshadow everything else that is supposed to be here.

I dunno if they date their cans, but this one just didn't have anything going for it aside from the malt. I'll drink a stout or porter if I want something this malt forward. I could tell it was hopped, the bitterness was apparent, but the flavor was just muddled and didn't go anywhere beyond the rye and the barley maltiness. (1,046 characters)

Pours a small off white head with a nice long lasting lacing above a clear warm golden colored beer.

Light citrus lemony with light floral and pine aspects on this west coasty hops aroma.

Nice citrus bite with hints of lemon, floral, earthy pine taste with a very slight almost yeasty hint.

A dryish aftertaste with some of the citrus hops sticking around on this medium bodied beer.

A pretty good tasting pale, I recommend giving it a try. (444 characters)

12 oz can served cold into a pint glass.

Bridal Veil is a pale golden yellow color with a slight haze. Great lacing left behind.

Aroma is fresh and hoppy with pleasant citrus tones.

Flavor could also be described the same way but with added peppery spice from the rye malts.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and nicely carbonated. Good balance for an IPA.

Overall a very enjoyable rye IPA. (388 characters)

Pours a nice dark amber with a thin white head that settles to a patchy haze. Aromas of rye malt, caramel, and citrusy hops. Pretty nice so far. More rye and moderately sweet caramel malt, along with some grapefruit and resin hops. Very drinkable and quenching, with a medium mouthfeel and solid carbonation. Enjoyable brew, very drinkable. (340 characters)
