Handsome amber-brown color in the Ciney snifter. Lots of foam and lacing along the glass. Mouthfeel is appealingly sudsy while light and gulpable. Great aroma of chestnuts and spice cake.

The nutty roasted flavor is more robust than you usually get in these Brown Ales. Rather sweet, but it goes along with the warm malt and java taste. Some hoppy bitterness provides the balance along with a dark grainy flavor. A great example of the more mellow style of Brown Ale. Some butterscotch taste along with toasted filberts. Just a touch of bitter coffee.

Totally drinkable in a sweet and malty way. This is what a Brown Ale should be. From the 12 oz can purchased at Wilbur's Total Beverage in Fort Collins.

On tap at the Vine Street Pub. Dark brown, good head, served in a pint glass. Aroma was slightly malty. Flavor was a pretty good brown, malty, slightly rich, super easy to drink. I'm not a huge fan of browns but this one hit the spot. I'd probably order another on tap.

Poured into a tulip glass.

Look: Caramel cola-brown with a nice creamy head.

Aroma: Sweet bready malts, nutty, sweet yeast.

Taste: Autumnul, sweet but not overwhelmingly so. Breakfast coffee with a nutty chocolate bar and a tad toffee too.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied.

Overall: One of the most delicious brown ales ever. This is a fall fever type of I love coffee and beer and sweaters and liquid slightyly sweet nutty yum. With a lowish ABV you can drink a few of these, and I have!

Cola brown body with a thick, lasting head; decent lacing and rings of foam cling to the glass. Charred, roasted grain aroma; nearly hidden spicy hops; wood and earth. Taste mimics the aroma with added, light hop bitterness; some cocoa notes. Medium body; creamy and smooth feel.

A very tasty malt-centric ale, rich in caramel and toffee malt flavors, deftly offset with a mild yet crucial hop bitterness for balance. Very appealing.

Small light brown head settles to a quarter inch froth above a clear dark brown to black colored beer.

Very light dark roasted malts aroma that seems to have a light sweetness to it.

Vary dark roasted malts with some dark chocolates in a the taste.

Dry aftertaste with quite a bit of the dark malts taste remaining behind with this medium to full bodied beer.

Pretty taste brown ale, I'm glad I tried it.
