I had this on tap at the Falling Rock a couple weeks back and it was good. This was served at the brewpub and was better. Nice orange color, sticky lacing, white head. Smells and flavors of tropical fruit and citrus. No pine or dank flavors with this but a good malt backbone. I would buy this if it was in bottles. Very nice IPA that seemed to be West Coast style.

Draft at brewpub. Medium amber with minimal head. No aroma, none, whatsoever. Lightly hopped, watery sweet malts. Hops linger. Flavor, not do much.s somebody must have killed the hops, because they’re nowhere to be seen.

Tried this one at GABF 2015.

A - Orange color with a good head.

S - Citrusy hops; maybe some grapefruit as well.

T - Very much a hop bomb although the balance of hops seemed a bit off. The flavor overpowered the initial citrus smell. Finishes very bitter and dry.

M - Under carbonated which made the mouthfeel off.

D - I appreciate the need for ultra-hopped beers, but this one was below my expectations. Its finish is so bitter, even hop heads like myself can only handle so much. If it had a bit more carbonation, the grade may bump up a bit.

Remote location but generally a very good beer. Sometimes spotty but when you get a good fresh IPA it's one of the best IPAs in Colorado. This was my staple beer in my keg at home but the most recent owner will not sell kegs anymore.

this isnt retired at all, and is in fact one of the featured beers at ironworks right now. it pours a nice sun saturated brassy color with a hint of orange to it and a one inch creay white head. the nose is acidic a little bit, plenty bitter. more of a west coast style for sure. there is some grapefruit and lemon/lime tartness in the flavor, and it finishes quick and bitter. the alcohol is also a little bit noticable in the taste, which i dont think is really appropriate in a regular ipa. the feel is fine, medium body thats maybe just a tad under carbonated. its drinkable enough at its abv, and it is rather refreshing. a decent summer ipa with a nice fruity hop boquet, but overall this is nothing out of the ordinary.
