Great selection of beers and options are high quality. Problem is there is no printed list, and the draft options are shown on one screen near the front. The styles flash on the screen for an 8-10 second period in order to cycle through all their taps. So it took a few visits by the server to log in my flight of beers which I had to memorize from the list. Then one of my selections had kicked.. what's the point of having a "real time" screen if it is not up to date?

The service was not very attentive, and I saw one of the likely reasons for this is the kitchen is downstairs, so it takes a while for the servers to pick up food orders then get back up the stairs. A definite flaw that was exposed even during the relatively quiet afternoon I was there.

I ordered a chicken "burger" which was $13.99 and was pretty good but not worth the price. The cheese sauce came with a film on it indicating the food had been sitting a bit. Again a byproduct of the buried kitchen setup I think.

So while a nice beer spot I probably would not go out of my way 15 minutes to grab lunch here again.

McLadden's doesn't get talked about enough considering the number of beers they have on tap. I like following them online to know when the really good stuff comes in. Sure it gets rowdy out night, but it's always a good time. I've started coming by around happy hour when you can hear people speak and it's a great time! I loved me some pubs during my time in Europe and McLadden's does the best job they can at recreating that mystique.

Best draft beer selection in CT. Period. Now has Lawson's on tap as well. Can always find a number of unusual or rare drafts as they have more than 80 choices. Food is very good as well. Can not go wrong with their build your own menu items. Nice local pub feel.

One of my favorite bars to go to. West Hartford is a great little city to walk around and McLadden's is an awesome part. The selection of beers is amazing. They have beers from all around the area, they even have a section with 5 different founders beers including breakfast stout. How can you not love this place? Great environment as well. Nice people.

so many great beers on tap here! went there to meet the guys from founder's brewery and had a great experience.they had a habanero mango beer tasting that day paired with habanero mango wings it was great! went to another mcladdens in a different town (same owner) and they had over 100 beers on tap and the staff was more than happy to make some custom flights for us to try.

Easily the best selection of beers I have ever seen in CT, by a landslide. The reader board makes the tap list manageable and the staff is very helpful. Whereas most other craft beer bars I go to might have 2-3 beers I get pumped up about, this pace will inevitably have too many for me to try in one trip.

Some of the drafts are 10 oz, a little small I think, I would expect a 12 oz to be minimum size but being a Irish pub I would think pint size should be the norm. Food was very good, I had the irish beef stew and it lived up to my expectations , My partner had a panini sandwich which was one of the better ones I have ever tasted. Nice Outdoor seating area although a little small, we went late afternoon so it wasn't very busy. we will definably return. Great selection of drafts.

One of the better beer bars around. Around 30 draft lines in the place with new beers rotating all the time. This is an Irish pub but they really focus on American craft beer mostly on draft with some good bottles as well. Mcladdens gets a lot of the hard to find beer in Connecticut and the latest craft beer releases. The place gets out of control packed on weekend nights which can make it hard to enjoy a tasty brew but good for them, good to see them killing it. Had a founders reds rye, a breakfast stout and loose cannon IPA, all very delicious and fresh. Check this place out but go during the day or on weekday nights so you don't have to stand the whole time or fight a crowd to get a beer. Best selection around Hartford area.

I have been to McLadden's a bunch of times. They have nice location and are a nice addition to West Hartford Center. The place has a good vibe, but not the greatest layout, especially when they get busy. The bar area is very narrow, which makes mingling difficult. The food is good, mostly traditional Irish fair. I also think the food is a tad pricey for what it is, but the beer prices are pretty good. From a beer point of view, they have a very solid tap list. A lot of their local competition seem to struggle at having a consistently solid tap list, but McLadden's always has at least 3-5 great beers on tap, and sometime more. The only complain is that they could have a few, non-Irish, stouts on tap, especially in the winter. Their bottle is also very strong. They easily have 100 bottles to choose from. Overall, a very nice beer bar, which recently has become my go-to location.
