Bottle into Bruery tulip.

Pours out a murky copper gold color. A good sized hear emerges due to a fairly straight down pour. Head is creamy and bubbly. Settles to thin layer on top of the beer. Head is thicker around the glass but there is some foam floating in the middle of the glass. Bubbly lacing is left as the head settles. When held to the light it is still murky but a nice copper color. As the beer declines in the glass, some thin lacing is produced but not much.

Smells of some grapefruit rind/zest and malt sweetness. The grapefruit is more of a supporting smell. The malt dominates the smell for me.

Hmm...double IPA you say? Sorry but I'm not getting it. Mostly sweet as the beers is consumed. Malt sweetness quickly hits you with bitterness finishing this out. There is a citrus rind taste. It reminds me of peeling citrus and tearing the rind to get the mist sprayed up at you. That's the scent and taste I'm getting from this beer.

Mouthfeel is pretty much what I expected. Body is medium bodied and carbonation isn't really noticeable on the tongue. Upon swallowing the beer however, a unpleasant bitterness hits you that thankfully doesn't stay around long.

Overall, an average DIPA. Nothing I would recommend to anyone. More malt based than I would have liked and not enough hops and good bitterness to balance it out for me.

Pours golden brown with a finger head. Boozy smell with not much character. Wheaty to the tongue but finishes boozy. I bought it because of the name to be honest. It wasn't bad but it didn't blow my mind. Overall, It's an average IPA. I would buy it again but only if I was left with few options.

The back-end bitterness is very mild with most of the hops coming from late additions, as far as I can detect. It seems weak and underpowered for a DIPA. The flavor is nice and mild with no booze detected, pleasant caramel and biscuity flavors being countered by citrus and fruit hops. I'd drink it again because it wasn't a bad beer by any means, it was just not what I've come to expect from a DIPA
