Served on tap (only?) at Tupelo Honey Cafe (Greenville).

Flying Hive Honey Rye Ale is a collaborative beer: A chef at Asheville's Tupelo Honey Cafe collaborated with Saw Works’ (TN) master brewer. "Made with Riverbend Rye Malt from Asheville and real tupelo honey, this medium-bodied ale has a crisp, distinct flavor with a hint of honey."

Medium body and carbonation. Good clarity
Clear, spicy rye notes, especially in the spicy flavor. Good sweet-bitter balance, being mildly bitter.
Near medium body with good, medium carbonation.

This might be my favorite Saw Works beer. It has enough rye for rye lovers (like myself), but not too strong for people who are new to the flavor. Great summer beer & what I usually order as my first pint. Even if you "don't think you'll like rye beer," try it. It's awesome.
