Delicious Brown. Not too malty, not an aggressive tasting beer. This is a great beer if you like to just sit at a tavern and enjoy a good tasting beverage. it is almost as good from the growler as the tap, drink it that night. Would recommend to anyone who walks in & doesn't want an IPA. (288 characters)

Saw Works Brown on tap at the Tupelo Honey Cafe (Greenville, SC).
5.7% ABV

Great looking, with a deep, dark brown body and a thick, durable head. Excellent clarity and lacing.

Good aroma and flavor, with neither noteworthy flaws nor anything exceptional.
Likewise for the medium-light body. (293 characters)

On tap at Holiday Inn Worlds Fair.

Pours clear chestnut brown with a tight one finger head. Leaves a bit of sticky lacing, but not very active carbonation.

Aroma of faint cocoa and toasted malt. A bit of herbal, grassy hops.

Taste of toast, walnuts, hint of toffee. Very little residual sweetness. A dull, paper-like finish doesn't help doesn't boost the flavor at all. Pretty much one note.

Mouthfeel drags this one down. Thin, dull, and lacking carbonation (draft system may be to blame here). Finishes dry, with a decent hop bitterness for the style.

A decent local beer when macros are your only other choice. Don't know if keg has been sitting for awhile, which may have contributed to the oxidation notes. (726 characters)
