Poured amber/honey colored with thick foamy head and thick lacing on side of glass. Citrusy, hoppy aroma. Malty flavor up front. Citrus hops on the back end. Moderate bitter aftertaste. Maltiness and hops seem to go well together. A beer I would definitely recommend.

Yay craft cans, thanks to AdamR46 (reddit).

The can pour forces a huge fizzy 3+ finger head that forces me to stop pouring even, fades at a med pace and leaves mild soapy lacing, very hazy orange-yellow colored beer.

Nose brings some fresh hops, a big citrus pop right off with a big shot of fresh grapefruit being squeezed, mild orange juice and tangerine, hint of rind bitterness too, touch of a peachy stone fruit, and just a touch of a sweet malt base.

Taste brings more of the citrus and grapefruit, a nice grapefruit squirt and juice, with a bit more orange juice, rind bitterness, tangerine, etc, similar to the nose. Then a little floral slight herbal hop kicks in very lightly, A mild grainy toasty malt flavor with a little sweetness and fluff. Finish brings fair bitterness, pretty dry too, a little more grapefruit and citrus pop, hint of tangerine too lingering.

Mouth is med bod, nice fluffy carb.

Overall pretty nice for a pale, well done bitterness, nice malt base, and good citrusy hops with a nice flavor and aroma, pretty well done.

Can poured into a tulip glass. Beer pours a hazy orange with a finger of bright white but loose head. Head dissipates after a few minutes, leaving some sticky patchy lacing. Good carbonation visible at the edge of the glass, tiny bubbles floating upward at a good clip.

Nose is mild but sweet tropical hops, mango and peach, with a biscuit and caramel malt accent. Not super aromatic, but smells pretty good.

Toasty biscuit malts flavors first, some mild tropical mango, grassy and pine hops. Light bitterness and slightly metallic tang in an otherwise clean finish.

Light body with soft but ample carbonation. Easy to drink and refreshing. Flavors and aroma don't blow you away, but a good session beer for sure.

The wonderful JenRay sent me some CANs in support of The CANQuest (TM) and I have fallen terribly behind, but I am getting caught up! Many thanks for these inclusions to the ongoing madness and I promise to do better.

From the CAN: "Sustainable quality"; "Hoppy, Crisp, Dry Hopped"; "glass PINT temp 47 [deg.]"; "At the Hops & Grain Brewery we know that good planets are hard to find. That's why we are working hard to save our own by packaging our beer in the most recyclable {CAN]tainer on the Earth. Aluminum!"; "An homage & accolade TO OUR CHAIRMAN: always EAGER FOR COMPANY always HAPPY TO SEE YOU and always leaves you IN A GOOD MOOD".

I experienced some initial foaming action on the Crack, so I allowed it some calming time before initiating a gentle Glug into my awaiting glass. I got a finger of tawny head that quickly dissipated into wisps. Color was a hazy amber (SRM = TBD). Nose smelled of minty hops and caramel malt and it once again begs the question of where do APAs leave off and AIPAs begin? I guess that I really do not care, but it is sometimes difficult for me to determine one from another. There was a great scrubbing effervescence in the mouth and on the tongue, quite welcome, actually, following an earlier Berliner Weisse. The taste was equal parts mint and caramel, a nice bland of the flavors and not so hopped-up as to be CANsidered an AIPA. Finish was semi-dry and refreshing. Overall, it was one of many in terms of the style, but on the other hand, it was a new CAN and that made it all the more worthwhile. Remember, though, I CANnot be a ticker as CANs do not Tick, only Glug!
