12oz. can served in an nonic. Pours a translucent straw gold with a one inch, bright white head. Nose expresses sweet cereal grains and perhaps a slight buttery quality. Taste consistent with nose - there's almost a buttermilk character that comes out towards the middle and gradually drops off leaving some residual grainy notes. Mouthfeel is light in body with a pleasant, even carbonation that asserts itself just enough to tickle the tongue and palate. I don't have a lot of experience or depth with this style, but this is a very simple and drinkable brew without much complexity. An easy session beer for the summer that would go great with grilling.

What can I say? I REALLY liked this one. Smells of sweet bready malt & honey. Tastes the same as it smells, no perceivable bitterness (Maybe cause I drink too many IPA's)
Am I the only one who gets a lot of honey notes from this? Was quite enjoyable quaffing this in my recliner after mowing the lawn. Wouldn't turn this down if offered to me again. Hell, I might try to seek out a 6'er or two if my local store can get it. A nice solid offering from Grey Sail, looking forward to checking out more from them!

12 oz can from my third beer-of-the-every-other-month-club. Poured into a large tulip glass.

A -- Pale kind of copper color with decent white head. Good carbonation. Not too hazy or clear. Highlights around the edges.

N -- Metallic. Light malts.

T -- Very subtle. Not a lot going on. Not bad, but not a lot of complexity either. Mostly a light toasted malt flavor.

M -- Light.

O -- Okay, for what it is. Would not seek out again.

Cheers.

A: Light copper with a little yellow to it. Medium low carb and a low white foam film on top.

S: Steel. Grain and maybe wheat. Spice of caraway.

T: Starts off smooth light and juicy. Grain, wheat and oatmeal. Finishes with a light crisp tanginess. However, weird mineral copper and iron aftertaste ruined a this for me. The taste finishes long oily and mouth coating.

M: Again, long lingering oily aftertaste doesn't work for me. Thin with a small amount of viscosity.

O: After a few drinks, the mineral aftertaste was all I tasted. Not a fan.

Golden/amber in color, this beer pours out with a foaminess that will not quit. The beer emits a fragrance of caramel and sweet bread with some pear and possibly apple lurking in the background.

This beer has a flavor that reminds me of toasted bread with dough, caramel, and some background fruit and a hint of herbs. There is little hop character and the beer is sweet overall, with some honey notes and flavors of crackers and a little bit of chocolate showing their faces at different moments.

This is an interesting beer and it’s extremely quaffable. With its sweetness level and agreeable taste, a person could knock these back with abandon. That said, it isn’t necessarily an amazing beer and I would probably like it better if it was a little more balanced in taste. But there is still enough positive going on here to recommend it. Just be careful when you pour- my cans all overflowed the moment I popped the top and yours may do the same.

Aroma: Light sweet corn notes up front. Light white bread-like malty sweetness. No hop aroma or fermentation character noted.

Appearance: Amber pour with golden edging. Low white head that retains well. Appears still in the glass.

Flavor: Nice bready malt base with solid 2-row character. Bready malts are balanced by moderate earthy hop bitterness. Balance is nearly even. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is fleeting and bready.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, slightly creamy, and moderately high carbonation. No alcohol heat or astringency noted.

Overall impression: A refreshing, light cream ale.
