From a can - drinking from the can - yes I am.

A: Well the can is cool nice artwork making me wish it were summer.

S: Smells piney! A definite east coast ipa/ pale ale type smell. Tiny malt backbone is apparent just enough to keep balance.

T: Follows the smell - straight pine and it's nice. A nice spiciness towards the back end. Good clean finish.

M: Fairly light bodied and pretty dry.

O: I could see myself sessioning this on a hot day. Nice how it doesn't try to follow the ways of other pale ales.

Hops included: Columbus, Tomahawk, and Zeus. Dry hopped with Cascade.

In a pint glass this beer was a dark amber color. There was a medium-sized off white head that left a bit of lace.

Aroma of citrus and flowers, as well as sweet malt.

Tastier than the aroma implied. Grapefruit and flowers. Strong malt background of caramel and bread.

A hoppy beer, but still very malt forward. Nice balance.

Enjoyed it.

12 ounce can, shared by my non BA member drinking buddy Josh IPA (JIPA).

Pours darker amber, cloudy. The head is off white and quickkly it is loosely clinging to the side of the glass.

Sniff reveals a respectable pine infused hop presence. Not bad…

This pale is better then moderately hopped. More pine, more hop resins. Smooth and easy enough to drink and enjoy. Hops in control, but enough of a malty underlayer to provide a bit of balance.

Decent to pretty darn good pale ale. Worthy selection if you see it in your area and are looking for a decent brew in an easily portable can.

I believe JIPA found it in Connecticut…

A - Very nice clarity, coppery and clear. Little carbonation. Head was off-white and quickly dissipated, leaving a decent amount of lacing.

S - Bright and hoppy, hints of citrus, certainly grapefruit.

T - The flavor didn't really live up to the reputation or the scent. Grapefruit peel was highlighted, but there was little to no sugar to balance it out. Malt profile provides just enough chewy grains for overall balance.

M - Fairly light and smooth, but I found that it seemed a little too bubbly to savor and swish around in the mouth. Slight sting; slightly dry. Good overall body.

O - Pretty solid EPA/APA, bright, hoppy, with a clear, balanced malt profile. It's a solid local option on tap, especially to go with lunch or dinner.

12 oz can from beer of the every other month club. Poured into SA Perfect Pint.

A - this was really neat... the bottom started out clear but then after I finished the pour it was overtaken by haze. Body is bronze. Nice white head, really big at first. Good lacing and retention.

N - nicely hopped. Like a pine forest. Some citrus and bread malts too.

T - also good hop flavor. Mostly resiny. Some grass. Would be a great camping or hiking beer.

M - crisp. A bit heavy but not bad. Dry.

O - I really enjoyed this one and will be on the look out for more.

Cheers!

this is one all around solid APA.

hazy and unfiltered. nice fresh hop aroma with solid head with good retention.

it has a solid oily fresh hop character but is balanced quite nicely with some slightly sweet grainy malts.

this would be a great house tap beer all year round that has session stamped all over it.

Thanks to the legendary woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is very hoppy, almost IPA like. Taste is hops, pine, a touch of citrus, lots of hoppy goodness, kind of lacking in malts. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.
