An Irish-style Red Ale. Red-amber in color with a generous tan foam. Smells of toasted bread and caramel. Taste is smooth, toasty and caramel as expected. Lightly bitter.

12oz can dug out of my uncle's fridge on mother's day 2023. Split with my bro. Was pretty sweet for a red ale, malty toasty and nutty, kinda thin but still enjoyable

Striking. Balanced. Drinkable. A gorgeous clear garnet body under a light tan foam head. Scent is mostly malty sweetness up front (bready caramel notes) with notes of herbal hops present. Taste follows well with an approachable sweeter malt body. Feel is very smooth and at times silky. Overall a very enjoyable red ale.

Appearance: Pours a clearish, dark amber-brown body with a medium-sized, ivory-hued head. Modest lacing.
Smell: Earthy, dry toastiness that even leans just a bit towards roasty. Particularly subtle chocolate powder, reddish fruits.
Taste: Fairly dry with just a squeak of sweetness in amongst the toasty, lightly roasty grains and scattered nut shells. Herbal, earthy hop hints. Stray red berry accent. Finishes firmly dry with a lingering light roastiness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-light carbonation.
Overall: It'll do.

I got a bottle of this from a beer store in La Crosse, Wisconsin whilst I was there for my Daughter's orientation. It poured a clear rich amber with thin white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had sweet malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with caramel malt base. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

12oz. bottle poured into a Titletown pint glass. The beer pours a super pretty dark amber with a small head of foam that recedes to a thin layer quickly. The bubbles are very small from the carbonation.
The smell is lightly roasted and caramel.
The taste follows the smell, I like the sweetness, slightly dry at the end, not bitter at all. I like the taste.
The feel is slightly creamy, the carbonation feels right.
I like the Johnny Blood Red, I wish it had a bit of the bread flavor and a larger head of foam that lasted longer. It is still one of my in state favorites!
