Served on tap at brewery. Overhead IPA with cranberries and apples, obviously...
A- Almost the same as the regular Overhead, just without the awesome lacing. Dark amber orange color. Small head, dies in a minute.
S- Weed is completely dialed down, very interesting in how different the hops are? I get some sweet apple, not much cranberry unfortunately. Slight dank, pine, and earth- but it's really really faint.
T/M- Bitterness is still initial hit on the tongue, but takes a chill pill and is more smooth than regular Overhead. Much more fruity tones. Apple again, the front runnerthis time, pleasantly. Apple component is a nice sweet Red Delicious type and nothing like a Granny Smith or other green; read: no acetylaldehyde! Some supporting floral flavors and young wood. Medium body, less carbonation than reg.
O- I like the apple addition and fruity tones that come with, but overall it tastes like less of a beer and waaay less of an IPA. Would buy again, but after others from this brewery. Though the score may not be super high, really this is still a nice above average beer, good job!
