First had: on tap at the brewery in Dunedin, FL
Nice counterpart to the Belge D'or. Cloudy mahogany pour, with a small cap of beige head that receded to a thick ringlet, nice lacing. In the nose, Belgian yeast, fruit esters, caramel malts. Taste was similar, toasted bread and grains, caramel malts, yeasty, fruity. Nothing out of the ordinary. Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly boozy, but nothing out of control. Good beer overall.

A: half finger head with little lacing on a murky earthy brown body.
S: lots of fig, cantaloupe and apricot. Yeast, milk chocolate notes as well.
T: this one is very intriguing. The flavor bounces around without well defined transition from smokey, burnt toast and mesquite like notes to caramel malts to subtle semisweet chocolate and light dark fruits.
M: medium body and moderate carbonation. Semi dry finish.
Overall: certainly gets points for uniquiness. A little disorganized in the flavor but interesting to dry. Sides more with may and yeast than fruits as the aroma may have suggested.
