Arrives a slightly hazy orange color with a pure white head. Retention is decent and the scattered lace lasts forever.
Smell is citrus, hops and light malt. Balance is pretty good.
Taste is hoppier than the nose, leading the band of flavors. Malt plays second with citrus sitting quietly in the back waiting for a turn.
Warming and drying, fairly full bodied with a sharp, tingly effervescence that focuses on the tip of the tongue. At 95 IBUs it tastes hoppier than other double IPAs I've had but it's good.

On tap at Seventh Sun. Served in a chalice.
Appearance - Slightly hazy deep orange body. Huge fluffy white head. Consistent layer of surface foam. Great lacing.
Smell - Grapefruit and orange hops. Some doughy malt sweetness. Has a it upeeper malt character as well, though. Some caramel. A bit of booze.
Taste - Grapefruit more dominant than orange, but both are present. Orange accentuated by the sweetness behind it. A bit of mustiness too. Deep caramel sweetness. bitter and dry.
Mouthfeel - Medium heavy and sweet up front. Dries out quickly. A little boozy too.
Overall - I suspect an addition of some sugar that's drying it out. Honey, maybe, but I don't taste it. I thought it was superb at first, but it wore on me as I drank it.
