First had: on tap at 7venth Sun, Dunedin, FL
Clearish golden yellow pour, with a moderate foamy white head that retained well and left nice lacing on the glass. Good combination of piney hops and citrus pith in the aroma, on the dank side, grainy malt base detectable. Similar taste, pine and citrus pith, fairly bitter and dry, malts are grainy but not intrusive, higher alcohol level was noticeable, but still kept in check. Medium body. A big beer reminiscent of a west coast IPA, so if that appeals to you, it's a good drinker.

On tap at Seventh Sun. Served in a chalice.
Appearance - Slightly hazy deep orange body. Huge fluffy white head. Consistent layer of surface foam. Great lacing.
Smell - Grapefruit and orange hops. Some doughy malt sweetness. Has a it upeeper malt character as well, though. Some caramel. A bit of booze.
Taste - Grapefruit more dominant than orange, but both are present. Orange accentuated by the sweetness behind it. A bit of mustiness too. Deep caramel sweetness. bitter and dry.
Mouthfeel - Medium heavy and sweet up front. Dries out quickly. A little boozy too.
Overall - I suspect an addition of some sugar that's drying it out. Honey, maybe, but I don't taste it. I thought it was superb at first, but it wore on me as I drank it.
