Visited the area for a week and they did have the best selection I'd find. That said most beers are warm, every IPA I bought had gone malty from poor storage. Charleston is hot and I don't think stores give that consideration. Plus local beers were hard to find and not offered in singles, so sampling local brews wasn't a focus of the store. Three different people I spoke to in the store and none could offer any insight into local breweries other than telling me their names. My overall take on Charleston, go straight to the breweries and get it fresh.

Huge box store type of feel, is my only knock on them. they have loads of selections, & a nice showing of growlers. Went there my last trip to Charleston & glad I made time to swing in and pick up a nice selection of beers to bring home. Very happy I just happened to find it by stumbling across them on Instagram.

price gouging. They were charging 25 dollars for a 32oz growler pour. Bcbs was 27+ per 4 pk. Pretty good selection tho

For a small town this is easily the best we have...Great selection of macro cratfs, world beers, and a nice rotating singles rack! They also host tastings!

Go here for better than average selection and low prices. Service is hit or miss. Atmosphere is as good as one can expect from a large store. What everyone else sells out of quickly, they hold onto a little longer. Overall, a fine establishment. (Needed more characters for this review, so here).

Bottles? More like *ssholes. Sample beers before you fill the growlers? Nope. Unlike any other establishment in the tri-county, either be our long-time friend/customer or abide by rules no one gives a sh*t about. You want to return our growlers? We'll charge you. Customer service? Somewhere in the back, please wait a few days for it. This place has a decent selection, but it's just not worth the effort. I'd rather drive across town for Total Wine. They should also be ashamed of themselves for their terrible customer service. If you can go to the Charleston Beer Exchange or Total Wine, do so, by far. This place is a last resort, because of the morons that work here. I assure you, this is not because of a bias, this is many times experience.

Had a business dinner in Mount Pleasant and saw this place so had to check it out. Very large store (locally owned!) with plenty of beer to choose from. Lots of local stuff and a great selection of Belgian beers and other American craft beers. They even have a decent home brew section as well as a growler bar. Great place!

I visited Bottles today (11/2/13) on their second anniversary. Great atmosphere, with lots of sales people offering assistance w/o being annoying or pushy. Their selection was comparable to the "superstores" in the area, while being locally owned & operated (buy local). There was an excellent variety of craft beer with all the local breweries being represented, I even saw a bomber of Westbrook Citrus Ninja Exchange. Bottles also has a well-stocked homebrew supply section offering equipment as well as brewing ingredients. Definitely the best craft beer offering in Mt. Pleasant. Well worth a trip over the Bridge.

This is definitely the "go-to" place for craft beer in Mt. Pleasant. Looks like a very newly opened store location in a mini-mall area. The inside is set up like a typical big box warehouse store, featuring primarily a huge wine selection.
The craft beer shelves are in the back right hand section of the store with some refrigerated products at the very back of the store. Plenty of good variety on the craft side. Closer to the front of the store is a decent selection of imports.
The staff members were friendly and helpful. I hope this place gets some traction because the selection is better than anyting else I've found in the area. Highly recommended.

A: This place is big warehouse-style place, kind of like Total Wine, but less impersonal. It seemed to be about half of the store was dedicated to wine and half to beer, though it may have skewed one way or another. There are some big coolers in the back of the store with a fair amount of beer. This place doesn't exactly have the most charming atmosphere, but it is clean and well laid out.
Q: The quality of beer was generally pretty good, with a lot of the typical craft beer standards, but also a lot of the macros taking up space as well.
S: I didn't quiz the staff on the beer, but they were extremely friendly and prompt with their help.
S: The selection was pretty solid. I got bottles of Victory Dark Intrigue and Cisco Indie Pale Ale, along with a growler of Westbrook Vanilla Tree Dubbel. There wasn't anything I hadn't seen before, but it was a decent selection: Avery, Rogue, Allagash, Samuel Adams, Stone, etc.
V: A fairly reasonable value here: My growler was $12.99 and the bottles $6.99 and $11.99 respectively. Decent enough.
On the whole, this is a pretty good store. If I lived in Mt. Pleasant I might frequent it, but there's nothing mind-blowing about the selection. Still, worth a look.
